Makita has launched the 18Vx2 LXT lithium-ion brushless cordless chainsaw, model DUC353Z. It is powered by two Makita 18V lithium-ion batteries, so users get maximum power and run-time – without leaving Makita’s famous 18V battery platform. The 18V batteries are specially positioning for optimum balance.

This new cordless chainsaw is part of Makita’s expanding LXT system, which offers 150+ solutions and is the world’s largest cordless tool system powered by 18V lithium-ion slide-style batteries. Makita 18V LXT batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, so they spend more time working and less time sitting on the charger.

The DUC353Z is a zero emission and lower noise alternative to gasoline powered chainsaws. The outer brushless motor with direct drive system provides power equivalent to a 30cc gas chainsaw. It also features XPT / extreme protection technology, for maximum protection against dust, debris and liquids for optimal performance in extreme conditions. The chain bar is 14” and offers variable speed for a variety of cutting applications. It requires far less maintenance with no engine oil to mix, no spark plug to replace and no air filter or muffler to clean. Simply pick it up, slide in two Makita 18V LXT batteries, and the saw is ready to use.

Convenience features include “tool-less” chain adjustments, a front hand guard with chain brake and an electric brake for maximum productivity and safety. All backed by a 3 year limited warranty. Visit makita.ca for more information
